Machine polishing that removes swirls, light scratches, and oxidation, finished with a ceramic sealant for lasting protection and a deep, reflective shine.
What Paint Correction Is
Paint correction is the process of using a machine polisher to physically level the top layer of your vehicle's clear coat, removing the microscopic imperfections that scatter light and dull the finish. Over time, every car accumulates swirl marks from improper washing, light scratches from daily use, and oxidation from sun exposure. These defects sit in the clear coat itself, which means no amount of washing or waxing will remove them. A wash cleans the surface. A wax adds a layer of protection on top. Paint correction actually reshapes the surface so the defects are gone.
The difference is visible immediately. Corrected paint has depth and clarity that a freshly waxed but uncorrected car simply does not have. Reflections become sharp and defined instead of soft and hazy. Dark colors regain their richness, and light colors lose the gray, cloudy look that oxidation causes. If you have ever looked at your car in the sun and noticed thousands of tiny spiderweb lines in the paint, those are swirl marks, and paint correction is how you remove them.
What This Service Does
Our paint correction service is a single-step machine polish aimed at light to moderate defects. Using a dual-action polisher and specialized pads, we gently refine the clear coat to remove swirl marks, light scratches, haze, and oxidation that have built up over time. The process restores the clarity, depth, and reflectivity your paint had when it was new.
Swirl & Scratch Removal
Machine polishing levels the clear coat to eliminate swirl marks, light scratches, and buffer trails for a flawless finish.
Restored Gloss & Clarity
By removing oxidation and haze, your paint regains its depth, clarity, and wet-look gloss.
Sealant Protection
We finish with a ceramic sealant that locks in the correction and shields your paint from the elements.
A Finish That Lasts
With proper maintenance, your corrected and sealed paint will stay glossy and protected for months.
What It Will Not Do
We want to be plain about this. A single-step machine polish removes defects within the clear coat. It will not fix deep scratches, the kind you can feel when you drag a fingernail across them. Those scratches have penetrated through the clear coat into the base coat or the primer beneath it, and polishing further would burn through the remaining clear coat trying to reach them, which causes more damage than it fixes.
It also will not remove deep etching from bird droppings or acid rain that has eaten into the paint, repair chips where the paint is gone entirely, or fix damage from a collision or contact with another object. Those situations require refinishing or repainting, which is body shop work, not detailing. What this service will do is take paint that is mechanically sound but visually dull and make it look the way it did before the wear and tear of daily driving set in.
How Pricing Works
The price shown on this page is the starting price. Paint correction is not a flat-rate service because the amount of work depends entirely on the condition of your clear coat. A vehicle with light swirls from a few months of automatic car washes takes less time than one that has been accumulating oxidation and scratches for years.
That is why the final price is confirmed after we inspect the paint in person. We assess the depth and density of the defects, the hardness of the clear coat, and how much material we can safely remove without compromising the paint. Then we give you a final price before any work begins. There are no surprise upcharges and no work started without your approval.
Done at Your Location
Paint correction does not require a dedicated shop. We are a fully mobile detailing service, which means we come to your home, office, or apartment with our own water and power. Our van is self-contained, so we do not need access to your building's utilities or a hose spigot. We set up wherever your vehicle is already parked, whether that is a driveway, a surface lot, or a curbside spot.
The one thing we do need is space to work around the vehicle and, for the best results, a shaded area. Direct sun heats the paint surface, which changes how the polish behaves and can make the process less effective. A covered carport, the shade of a tree, or even the shade side of a building all work well. If you are not sure whether your spot will work, give us a call at 952-214-8644 and we will figure it out together.
